Senator John Cornyn did not win his primary today in Texas for the US Senate, but he didn’t lose either.
Both he and Ken Paxton will have to finish this in a run-off:
NBC NEWS: The GOP Senate primary race in Texas will go to run-off as none of the candidates has met the required threshold to secure the nomination for the general election.
Sen. John Cornyn and state Attorney General Ken Paxton will advance to the run-off.
So there’s still hope that Cornyn loses. I’m good with that, for now.
In other Texas news, loudmouth Jasmine Crockett and slimy James Talarico won’t know who won tonight, as the results of Dallas County got complicated when a county judge ruled voting remain open past 7pm. The Supreme Court stayed that ruling and now all of those ballots that came after 7pm must be separated.
