217 House Republicans just voted to pass the SAVE Act, which insures illegals won’t be able to vote in federal elections AND institutes Voter ID as a policy.
One Democrat joined them, to make it 218, and he clearly didn’t have to do it. Henry Cuellar (TX) clearly took a principled stance:
BREAKING: House passes SAVE America Act (GOP voter ID law).
Final vote: 218-213
Every Republican present voted yes.
The only Democrat to vote yes was Rep, Cuellar (D-TX).

Now the bill heads to the US Senate, where we’ll find out if Leader Thune has the gonads to do what Trump wants and find a way around the procedural filibuster.
