There was a massive UN walkout at the very beginning of Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu’s speech today, filled with anti-Israel chants and what not.
But watch to the end to see how Netanyahu addresses the countries who refused to even listen to his speech:
And that’s how it’s done.
What’s amazing about this to me is that even Iran stayed to listen to President Trump’s speech, when he’s done more damage to them militarily and economically than anyone has in a very long time. Yet before Netanyahu even says a word, so many of these countries walk out because of their absolute hatred of Israel. It’s really stunning.
Look, Israel isn’t perfect and certainly has radicals of its own living in Israel after years of being attacked by Islamic jihadis. The hatred runs deep.
But one thing is absolutely clear to me. If the Islamic world actually decided to let bigons be bigons and genuinely made peace with Israel, stopping the hatred and agreeing even to share the temple mount with the Jews, then there would be true peace. All of the hostilities would cease and peace would reign.
But we know that’s never going to happen, so that’s not the world we get to live in. Thus, in the aftermath of the 10/7 Hamas attack, we have a war president presiding over Israel, trying to defend it from threats on every side. And President Trump has joined the fight as well, trying to ensure that Iran never gets a nuclear weapon.
And yet this is the thanks Netanyahu gets for trying to defend himself. The world truly sucks sometimes.
