Joe Biden’s appointee Judge Ana Reyes just gave President Trump what he wanted and blocked him from renovating the DC golf course, after he announced it would begin in November.
Here’s more from WUSA9:
A federal judge has blocked the Trump administration from cutting down any more trees at East Potomac Golf Links — with about four hours to spare before her earlier order expired at midnight.
Judge Ana Reyes granted a preliminary injunction Monday night barring the Interior Department and National Park Service from cutting, felling or “otherwise damaging or impairing” any tree in East Potomac Park without a court order. It also bars staging equipment inside a tree’s root zone, which effectively halts site work.
Roughly 300 trees were slated to come down. President Trump has planned a massive teardown and renovation of the historic public course.
“This is a big win that will rightly protect East Potomac Park from further irreparable harm. We are grateful the court intervened to stop the Trump-Vance administration’s greed and lawlessness while the case continues, and we are eager to argue the case in court,” Skye Perryman, Democracy Forward President & CEO.
The order may put President Trump’s Nov. 15 start for construction on the golf course renovation out of reach.
Judge Reyes is requiring 10 business days’ written advance notice before the golf course can close — in whole or in part — and before any irreversible change to the park’s landforms, vegetation, course design, hydrology, pathways or structures.
Trump announced Oct. 18 on Truth Social the course would close to play Nov. 15, and that restoration work would begin that day. The DOJ has to file that notice in the next few days for the date the president set to legally happen.
I told you last week that Bill Shipley said this is what Trump was gunning for:
He’s goading Judge Reyes into issuing a Prelim. Injunction, which will then be appealable to the D.C. Circuit, where she’ll almost certainly be reversed after the Ballroom fiasco that led to a SCOTUS reversal.

Let the appeals begin.
