John Boyega has opened up about his personal dating rules. In a recent interview with GQ, “The Woman King” star shared exactly what he looks for in a woman. It starts with melanin. “I only date Black,” Boyega, 30, proudly told the magazine. “Then it’s about chemistry, personality, goals. Is there a synergy? Can I help you? Can you help me?”
The British actor has often used his platform to speak against the injustices and prejudices the Black community faces on a daily basis. During a Black Lives Matter protest in 2020, the star passionately vocalized the importance of protecting Black women. Boyega describes himself as “very disciplined” when it comes to dating, especially as a celebrity. Thankfully, his Nigerian parents provided a blueprint for what he’s looking for in a loving relationship.
He explained, “Being in the public eye, they would prefer it if you had the wife and family. It’s the ultimate PR package. But my parents have been together for 35 years. There’s nothing that this world can do in terms of pressure to make me be inspired by anything else but my parents.”

Ethan Nwaneri, a midfielder for Arsenal F.C., became the Premier League’s youngest player on Sunday, September 18. According to reports, the 15-year-old checked into the game for Fabio Viera in the 90th minute of play at the Brentford Community Stadium in the United Kingdom. The record for youngest-ever senior player on Arsenal was previously held by Cesc Fabregas, who was 16 years of age at the time.
“It’s another step, another experience. In your career, all the steps are not going to be forward. After that maybe he needs three backwards to go another forward, but I think he deserved it,” Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta said. “ It sends a really strong message about who we are as a club as well.” Arteta wanted Nwaneri to experience firsthand what it’s like to be a part of the club. Everything from staying in the hotel to game preparation, and also being involved with other players.
