Fans of The Walking Dead will see more of Melissa McBride’s Carol after all. After the actress stated she would not take part in the new Daryl Dixon spin-off, Jeffrey Dean Morgan revealed on Twitter that Carol and Daryl will be seen together again in the spin-off series.
McBride’s announcement that she would not appear in the spin-off when news of it was first released did cause some fans to be upset, and they sent their anger toward Norman Reedus. Morgan took issue with that at the time, so he announced McBride’s return himself.
His post about the AMC series said the following, per Deadline:
“Well well. We’re sorry Norman… fer talking oodles of s**t to you when we thought melissa wasn’t doing show! Golly… this must of been in the works for ages! (Twas from start). Goddamn it’s great seeing these two together! Can’t wait! Xojd”
Anne Charrier, Eriq Ebanouey, Laika Blanc Francard, Romain Levi, and Louis Puech Scigliuzzi also star in the new series, which takes Daryl overseas with six episodes planned for later this year. The exact premiere date will be announced later.
