#blackAF (Netflix)
This comedy series starring creator Kenya Barris was initially renewed for a second season but that order was later rescinded. Barris had a multi-year $100 million deal with the streaming service but moved on in late 2020.

60 Minutes+ (Paramount+)
Based on the venerable CBS series, this newsmagazine was cancelled so, there won’t be a second season.

4400 (The CW)
A reboot of 2004 series, this sci-fi show revolves around 4,400 people who have vanished over the previous century and then all return as if a day hasn’t passed. It lasted one season.

The Activist (CBS)
Described as a completion series for inspiring activists, this show came under criticism and was retooled into a documentary special.

Adults Adopting Adults (A&E)
A reality series, this show was cancelled after three episodes following some behind-the-scenes drama.

After Life (Netflix)
From Ricky Gervais, this dark comedy series about a grieving widower comes to a close with season three.

Animal Kingdom (TNT)
A gritty crime family drama that was based on an Australian series of the same name, this series ends with its sixth season.

Another Life (Netflix)
Starring Katee Sackhoff, the sci-fi series follows the crew of an exploration ship after a strange alien structure comes to Earth. It lasted two seasons.

Archive 81 (Netflix)
This horror series topped Netflix’s weekly top 10 viewing chart for originals series but it was still cancelled, possibly because of the show’s budget.

Arthur (PBS)
Based on the children’s books by Marc Brown, this animated educational series ended with its 25th season.

B Positive (CBS)
This comedy series initially revolved around an organ transplant but the focus shifted to a retirement home for the second season. It won’t have a third year.

The Baby-Sitters Club (Netflix)
A comedy-drama series based on the children’s novel series, this show lasted for two seasons.

Batwoman (The CW)
A female-led superhero series, this show ran for a total of 51 episodes across three seasons before being cancelled.

Better Things (FX)
This comedy-drama created by and starring Pamela Adlon ends with its fifth season.

The Big D (TBS)
A new dating competition series hosted by JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rogers, this show was dropped just ahead of its scheduled launch. The cancellation was one of the first casualties of the WarnerMedia-Discovery merger.

The Big Leap (FOX)
A dramedy about a reality dance show, this series drew low ratings and was dropped after 11 episodes.

Black Love (OWN)
A docu-series that looks at the stories of various Black couples. It was announced that season six is the end.

Black-ish (ABC)
The alphabet network announced that the family comedy comes to a close with its eighth and final season.

The Boondocks (HBO Max)
Two seasons of a revival of the 2005-14 animated TV show were ordered in 2019 by the streaming service but the order was later cancelled.

Bringing Up Bates (UPtv)
This reality series, which follows the very large Bates family, had been renewed for an 11th season and was scheduled to premiere on February 10, 2022. The cable channel decided to pull the plug as it shifts away from unscripted shows.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine (NBC)
Season eight of this workplace comedy was supposed to air during the 2020-21 season. However, due to the pandemic, the final season was delayed until the 2021-22 season.

Bull (CBS)
A legal drama starring Michael Weatherly as Dr. Jason Bull, this series follows the employees at Trial Analysis Corporation (TAC), a jury consulting firm. It ends with season six.

Bulletproof (The CW)
A British police procedural series, this show was cancelled in the UK following allegations of sexual misconduct by 20 women against co-creator and star Noel Clarke.

Charmed (The CW)
This supernatural series is a reboot of the 1998-2006 show of the same name. It lasted for four seasons.

Chesapeake Shores (Hallmark)
Based on the novel by Sherryl Woods, this family drama was renewed for a sixth season. It was later revealed that season six is the end.

Cowboy Bebop (Netflix)
A live-action version of an anime series, this sci-fi Western about a ragtag group of bounty hunters was cancelled after one season.

The Crown (Netflix)
Created by Peter Morgan, this historical drama chronicles the reign of Elizabeth II; the Queen of the United Kingdom and 15 other Commonwealth realms. It’s been announced that season six is the end.

DailyMailTV (syndicated)
A daily news series that features stories from DailyMail.com, this show is hosted by Thomas Roberts. It won’t see a sixth season.

Dan Brown’s The Lost Symbol (Peacock)
Based on Brown’s book, this action mystery series follows a young man who’s hired by the CIA to solve a number of deadly puzzles and his mentor then goes missing. The prospects of a second season went missing too.

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow (The CW)
Airing for seven seasons, this series features multiple superheroes (and villains) from the DC universe as they work together on their time-traveling ship, the Waverider. It was cancelled after 110 episodes.

Delilah (OWN)
A drama revolving around a strong-willed mother and attorney (Maahra Hill), this show ran for one season before being cancelled.

Women of the Movement (ABC)
An anthology drama series, this show about civil rights stories ended after one season. It could potentially return someday.

Dickinson (Apple TV+)
The streaming service announced that season three is the end for this comedy series about the early life of author Emily Dickinson.

A Discovery of Witches (AMC+)
Based on the trilogy of books by Deborah Harkness, this fantasy romance series concludes with its third season.

Dollface (Hulu)
This comedy revolves around a woman who rebuilds her social life after being dumped by her longtime boyfriend. It lasted for two seasons.

The Dr. Oz Show (syndicated)
After 13 seasons, the daytime series is signing off due to host Dr. Mehmet Oz’s decision to run for Senate in Pennsylvania.

Duncanville (FOX)
This family animated series about an extraordinarily average boy ran for two seasons before being cancelled. Six episodes are unaired and expected to be released on Hulu.

Dynasty (The CW)
Revolving around the wealthy Carringtons and their drama, this reboot was cancelled after five seasons.

The Ellen DeGeneres Show (syndicated)
The most popular daytime talk show for many years, the host has chosen to end the series with season 19.

The Endgame (NBC)
A crime thriller, the show follows the battle between criminal mastermind Elena Federova and FBI agent Val Turner. It was cancelled after one season.

The Expanse (Amazon)
This science-fiction drama ran for three seasons on Syfy before being cancelled. Amazon Prime Video rescued the show and gave it three more years. Season six is the end.

F Is for Family (Netflix)
An adult animated comedy about a dysfunctional Irish-American family in Pennsylvania, this show ended after five seasons.

Family Reunion (Netflix)
Created by Meg DeLoatch, this comedy revolves around a family who travels from Seattle to Georgia for a reunion and decides to stay. The show ends with season three.

Flip or Flop (HGTV)
Hosted by formerly married couple Christina Haack and Tarek El Moussa, this reality series ended after 10 seasons.

Frankie Drake Mysteries (Ovation)
A Canadian crime drama about a female-run detective agency in the 1920s, this show comes to a close with season four.

Gabby Duran & The Unsittables (Disney Channel)
Revolving around a teen who gets a job watching over a group of unruly extraterrestrial children, this comedy aired for two seasons before being cancelled.

Gentefied (Netflix)
A family comedy-drama, this show revolves around three Mexican-American cousins who are chasing the American Dream. It was dropped after two seasons.

Gentleman Jack (HBO)
This period drama series revolves around the life of landowner and industrialist Anne Lister and is based on her extensive diary entries. It was cancelled after two seasons.

The Good Dish (syndicated)
This daytime show replaced The Dr. Oz Show when Mehmed Oz decided to run for the Senate. Good Dish won’t see for a second season.

Good Sam (CBS)
A medical drama starring Sophia Bush and Jason Isaacs, it ran for one season of 13 episodes before being cancelled.

Gotham Central (HBO Max)
This series was to revolve around a cop in the Gotham Police Department and was to tie in with The Batman feature film. The plans were subsequently cancelled.

Grace and Frankie (Netflix)
Starring Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin, this buddy comedy series, about a pair of divorced women, ends with season seven.

Hanna (Amazon)
Based on the 2011 movie of the same name, this show is about a young woman who’s trained to be a killer and hunter. It ran for three seasons and 22 episodes.

The Harper House (Paramount+)
An adult animated comedy series, this show revolves around a formerly affluent family that has to downsize to an old family home in the poorer side of town. It lasted for one season.

Hawkeye (Disney+)
The streaming service announced that the sixth episode was the final episode of the series.

Head of the Class (HBO Max)
School’s out, for good. A sequel of sorts to the 1980s comedy series, this show lasted one season of 10 episodes before being expelled.

His Dark Materials (HBO)
Based on a trilogy of novels by Philip Pullman, this dramatic fantasy series ends with a third season of episode episodes.

How We Roll (CBS)
Inspired by the life of professional bowler Tom Smallwood, the comedy show was cancelled before its first season finished airing.

I Know What You Did Last Summer (Amazon Prime Video)
A horror series that was based on the Lois Duncan novel and the feature film, this show lasted for one season of eight episodes.

In the Dark (The CW)
Revolving around an irreverent blind woman named Murphy, this drama was cancelled prior to the show’s fourth season premiere.

Insecure (HBO)
It was announced that this comedy series from Issa Rae would end with season five.

Joe Pera Talks With You (Adult Swim) 12/2021 32 eps
A series of comedic informational shorts, this show ran for two seasons and 22 total episodes before being discontinued.

Judge Jerry (syndicated)
This daytime courtroom series features Jerry Springer (a former attorney) on the bench. The show lasted three seasons.

Kenan (NBC)
Starring Kenan Thompson as a widowed father of two young girls, this sitcom lasted for two seasons.

Kevin Can F**k Himself (AMC)
A dark comedy that switches between a multi-camera sitcom and a single-camera setup, this show comes to a close after two seasons.

Kill the Orange-Face Bear (TBS)
The cable channel ordered this comedy series which was to star Damon Wayons, Jr.  The plans were later cancelled.

Killing Eve (BBC America)
A black comedy and spy thriller, the show follows a British intelligence investigator who is assigned to capture a psychopathic assassin. It was renewed for a fourth and final season.

The Last OG (TBS)
Starring Tracy Morgan, this comedy follows a convict who, after he is released, finds his neighborhood has significantly changed. The series lasted four seasons.

Law & Order: For the Defense (NBC)
The peacock network ordered this spin-off for Fall 2021 but later cancelled those plans. Rest assured that another Dick Wolf series is already in the works.

Legacies (The CW)
A spin-off of The Originals, this supernatural series was cancelled after four seasons and marks the end of the Vampire Diaries universe on the network.

Legends of the Hidden Temple (The CW)
Olmec goes back into mothballs. A revival of the 1993-95 game show, this series ran for 13 episodes before being cancelled.

Locke & Key (Netflix)
A fantasy horror drama, this show is based on the comic series by Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez. It was announced that season three is the end.

Long Slow Exhale (Specrum Originals)
Set in the competitive world of women’s college basketball, this series follows the successful head coach of a championship team who finds herself embroiled in a sexual abuse scandal. It ran for 12 episodes.

Love, Victor (Hulu)
Set in the same world as the Love, Simon feature film, this teen drama revolves around Victor Salazar (Michael Cimino) and his journey of self-discovery. It was announced that season three is the end.

Made for Love (HBO Max)
A story of love and divorce, this show follows a thirty-something woman (Cristin Milioti) who’s on the run after 10 years in a suffocating marriage with a controlling tech billionaire (Billy Magnussen). This program was shut down after 16 episodes.

Marvel’s MODOK (Hulu)
An adult animated comedy series about a megalomaniacal supervillain, this show ran for one season.

Maury (syndicated)
This tabloid talk show launched in 1991 and ran for 30 seasons until host Maury Povich announced his retirement.

Motherland: Fort Salem (Freeform)
A supernatural drama about witches who defend the United States, this show has been renewed for a third and final season.

Mr. Mayor (NBC)
Starring Ted Danson, this comedy follows a wealthy and clueless businessman who becomes the mayor of Los Angeles. It was dropped after two seasons.

Muppet Babies (Disney Junior)
A reboot of the 1984-91 animated series, this computer-animated show ran for three seasons and 71 episodes. It ended in February 2022.

Naomi (The CW)
A series about a young superhero, the show was cancelled the morning after its first season finale aired.

Narcos: Mexico (Netflix)
Season three is the end of this series that explores the early origins of the Mexican drug war.

Nick Cannon (syndicated)
The daytime talk show was cancelled after one season due to low ratings.

Night Sky (Prime Video)
Starring Sissy Spacek and J.K. Simmons, the sci-fi drama follows a couple who has discovered a chamber buried in their backyard. It was cancelled after one season.

On My Block (Netflix)
This teen comedy-drama follows four lifelong friends in inner-city Los Angeles. It ends with year four.

On the Verge (Netflix)
Created by Julie Delphy, this series revolves around four women trying to recapture their enthusiasm for life. It lasted for one season.

Ordinary Joe (NBC)
A drama that follows three possible paths of one man’s life, this show was cancelled after one season.

Our Kind of People (FOX)
This drama follows a strong-willed single mother who was looking to take on some elite residents of Martha’s Vineyard. It was cancelled after 12 episodes.

Peaky Blinders (Netflix)
A historical crime drama, this show is ending with season six but is expected to have a wrap-up movie.

PEN15 (Hulu)
A comedy about middle school, as seen and played by its adult creators, this show ran for two seasons.

Pivoting (FOX)
A comedy revolving around a group of close female friends, this show was cancelled after one season of 10 episodes.

Pretty Smart (Netflix)
A comedy series starring Emily Osment, this show follows a Harvard graduate and aspiring novelist who moves in with her sister and her friends. It was cancelled after one season.

Promised Land (ABC)
Following a blended Latinx family that runs a vineyard in Sonoma County, California, this low-rated drama was dropped by the network after five episodes. The remaining installments were slated to be released on Hulu.

Raised by Wolves (HBO Max)
A sci-fi drama series, this show follows a pair of androids as they raise human children on a distant planet.  It was shut down after two seasons.

Raising Dion (Netflix)
A series revolving around a boy who develops superpowers, this show was dropped after two seasons and 17 episodes.

The Real (syndicated)
A talk show hosted by a panel of ladies discussing topics of the day, this show ran for eight seasons before being cancelled.

Right This Minute (syndication)
Debuting in 2011, this daily viral video series ran for 11 seasons before being cancelled. During its run, hosts included Christian Vera, Gayle Bass, Nick Calderone, Oli Pettigrew, and Charity Bailey.

Roswell, New Mexico (The CW)
The second adaptation of the Roswell High books, this sci-fi series was cancelled prior to its fourth season premiere.

Q-Force (Netflix)
An adult animated series that follows a gay spy and a misfit squad of LGBTQ+ geniuses, this show wasn’t renewed for a second season.

Queen Sugar (OWN)
A drama set in Louisianna, this show revolves around three very different adult siblings who inherit a sugarcane farm from their deceased father. It was announced that season seven is the end.

Queens (ABC)
After one season of 13 episodes, this music drama series about a group of four female singers was cancelled by the alphabet network.

Saints & Sinners (Bounce TV)
This primetime soap opera follows the lives of a pastor, a choir director, and other members of a Baptist church in a small town in Georgia. It’s been announced that season six is the end.

Saved By the Bell (Peacock)
A sequel to the Saturday morning sitcom from the 1990s, this show ran for two seasons and 20 episodes before being cancelled.

Search Party (HBO Max)
A comedy, this show follows a group of friends as they deal with a new case or disappearance each season. Its fifth season is the end.

See (Apple TV+)
The streaming service announced that the third season of this post-apocalyptic drama is also its last. The series stars Jason Momoa.

The Sinner (USA Network)
This show began as a mini-series but the cable channel turned it into a regular series starring Bill Pullman as a police detective. After four seasons, Pullman’s Harry Ambrose is getting some rest.

Space Force (Netflix)
A comedy from The Office’s Steve Carell and Greg Daniels, this show was cancelled after two short seasons.

The Split (SundanceTV)
This UK drama series takes a look at marriage and divorce in the high-end divorce circuit. It ends with a third season.

Squidbillies (Adult Swim)
An animated series about an impoverished family of anthropomorphic hillbilly mud squids, this show wraps after 13 seasons.

Supermarket Sweep (ABC)
A game show revival that was hosted by Leslie Jones, this series has been indefinitely shelved after two seasons.

This Is Us (NBC)
The popular story of the Pearson family wraps up with a sixth and final season.

The Time Traveler’s Wife (HBO)
This science-fiction romance series is based on the novel by Audrey Niffenegger. After a six-episode season, its moment had passed.

Tom Swift (The CW)
This show is loosely based on the adventure book series and revolves around a wealthy and brilliant young inventor who goes searching for his missing father. It’s another cancellation that comes ahead of the network’s planned sale.

Trickster (The CW)
A Canadian series, this drama was renewed for a second season but those plans were later cancelled.

Turner & Hooch (Disney+)
A follow-up to the 1989 feature film, this cop and dog comedy starring Josh Peck ran for one season of 12 episodes before being cancelled.

Ultimate Slip ‘N Slide (NBC)
Filming of the competition series was shut down following an outbreak of Giardia. Looking at the logistics and costs of restarting production, the peacock network opted to scrap the show.

United States of Al (CBS)
A comedy, this show follows an interpreter named Al from Afghanistan who moves to Columbus where his friend Riley, a Marine Corps veteran, lives. This Chuck Lorre-produced show ran for two seasons.

The Walking Dead: World Beyond (AMC)
Set 10 years after the zombie apocalypse, this drama follows a group of teens who’ve grown up in this horrific new world. It ends with season two.

Wellington Paranormal (The CW)
A comedy series from New Zealand, this show is a spin-off of the What We Do in the Shadows movie and series. It ran for four seasons.

The Wendy Williams Show (syndicated)
The host of this talk show had to take an extended break due to various medical issues. Guest hosts filled in but the show was eventually cancelled.

Why Women Kill (Paramount+)
An anthology series, this drama follows ladies in different eras and settings. It had been renewed for a third season but those plans were later cancelled.

Woke (Hulu)
A comedy inspired by the life and work of artist Keith Knight, the show stars Lamorne Morris as an artist on the verge of mainstream success. The show ran for 16 episodes over the course of two seasons.

Women of the Movement (ABC)
The first season of this civil rights anthology series revolved around a mother who became an activist after the brutal murder of her son. There won’t be a second season, at least not right now.

Work In Progress (Showtime)
A comedy-drama starring series co-creator Abby McEnany, this show was discontinued after two seasons and 18 episodes.

Wu-Tang: An American Saga (Hulu)
Taking place in 1990s New York City, during the height of the crack cocaine epidemic, this drama follows the formation of the Wu-Tang Clan. It ends with season three.

Y: The Last Man (FX on Hulu)
About the aftermath of a mysterious cataclysmic event that simultaneously killed nearly every mammal with a Y chromosome, this show lasted for one season.

Zero Chill (Netflix)
A drama about a pair of skater siblings who relocate to the UK from America, this drama lasted for one season.
