Right out of the 50’s infused with hints of current music…almost Beatle-esque, “I Need You Home” recently released by THE AMERICAN RELICS has the essence of echoes gone by. The song is a turning on the road opening up wide horizons to the modern world.
“The best and most extraordinary artists will be those who every hour snatch the tatters of their bodies out of frenzy cataract of life, who, with bleeding hands and hearts hold fast to the intelligence of the time”…Richard Huelsenbeck
The band consists of frontman John Gitano on guitar and vocals, Adrienne Dugger on vocals, Ian Zane on bass, Nelson Montana on many instruments, Joni Ernst on the keys, and Josh Salant on drums. Although all write the songs and sing Gitano is the bands main songwriter and vocalist. All of these artists are masters at what they do and go beyond the powers of a supergroup.
“I Need You Home” is a touching ballad with a sensitive message. Gitano is a story-teller and a master guitarist adding his unique style to all of his songs. We need to dream impossible things that maybe fail sometimes, but sometimes do succeed. To achieve anything requires faith and belief in yourself, vision, hard work, determination and dedication, Gitano has all of these.
