Nope
Release Date: July 22 in Theaters
Jordan Peele’s back, and he’s creeping us out (in a good way). The prolific writer, director, and actor, who surged onto the horror scene with his Oscar-winning film Get Out in 2017, brings us the simply-titled Nope. The film follows OJ (Daniel Kaluuya) and Emerald Haywood (Keke Palmer), two siblings who run a horse ranch in a “lonely gulch” in California. Their routine is greatly interrupted once the quiet town is visited by a mysterious UFO. If you were thrust into a supernatural nightmare, wouldn’t you also yell, “nope?”
The Old Man (Season 1 Finale)
Release Date: July 22 on Hulu
Age is just a number. Created by Robert Levine and Jonathan E. Steinberg and based on the novel of the same name by Thomas Perry, The Old Man follows Dan Chase (Jeff Bridges), a former CIA officer whose life is put in jeopardy when his past comes back to haunt him. In the Season 1 finale, Dan and Harold Harper (John Lithgow) must do their best to untangle the web of lies they’ve woven for thirty years. Will Angela (Alia Shawkat) survive her dangerous mission abroad?
Black Bird (Episode 4, “WhatsHerName”)
Release Date: July 22 on Apple TV+
Getting to know you. Created by Dennis Lehane and based on true events featured in the autobiographical novel In with the Devil by James Keene and Hillel Levin, Black Bird follows Jimmy Keene (Taron Egerton), a football star who landed behind bars for his involvement in a large narcotics operation and possession of firearms. He’s offered freedom if he moves to a maximum security prison and secures a confession from alleged serial killer Larry Hall(Paul Walter Hauser). Last week, Jimmy finally managed to get some one-on-one time with Larry, who is not used to getting any positive attention. Episode 4 features a prison brawl that’ll bring the two even closer together, but will Larry catch on to Jimmy’s motives?
Anything’s Possible
Release Date: July 22 on Prime Video
Do you believe in love? Directed by Billy Porter and written by Ximena García Lecuona, Anything’s Possiblefollows Khal (Abubakr Ali), a high school student who falls for his trans classmate Kelsa (Eva Reign). Even though Kelsa’s popular and confident, she knows that her relationship with Khal is sure to stir up some controversy. Are the two lovebirds able to block out the noise, or will public opinion get in the way?
Trying (Season 3 Premiere)

This family is really trying. Created by Andy Walton, the heartfelt romantic BBC dramedy series Trying follows Jason (Rafe Spall) and Nikki (Esther Smith), a couple who desperately want to have a baby. After struggling to conceive, they enter the exhausting adoption process in the hopes of creating a family.
