1. Pharrell taps Tyler the Creator to design a collection for Louis Vuitton
Pharrell, who serves as the men’s creative director at Louis Vuitton, tapped his “Cash In, Cash Out” collaborator, Tyler the Creator, to design a capsule collection for the iconic French fashion house. The pieces will be available on March 21 as part of the LV Spring 2024 collection. Dubbed the “Craggy Monogram,” the posh capsule includes an array of items that Tyler himself would sport, whether that be a baby blue V-neck knitted vest, pastel shoes, or Bermuda shorts. Tyler the Creator has a keen eye for accessories, and he didn’t hold back with his Louis Vuitton debut.
2. Tiwa Savage, Skepta, Little Simz, and others storm the Burberry London Fashion Week show
Nigerian music superstar Tiwa Savage was among the notable personalities who attended the Burberry show during London Fashion Week. The event, which took place in Victoria Park, saw Savage slay in a Burberry outfit comprising a coat, a bralette, and a mini skirt. Her makeup also did justice to her outfit and gave her a dazzling look. The “Somebody’s Son” hitmaker was spotted with British-Nigerian rapper Joseph Olaitan Adenuga Jr., aka Skepta, as they took some pictures together.
Tiwa Savage was not the only African figure in attendance at the Burberry LFW event in London. Other African figures who attended the event include famous footballers Bukola Saka and Ozwald Boateng. Tiwa Savage also linked with Kano, Little Simz, and English fashion designer Daniel Lee at the London Fashion Week.
3. South Africa: Blxckie joins Bas for his upcoming US tour
Blxckie has been confirmed as one of the acts set to join American rapper Bas on his upcoming US tour. The award-winning rapper will tour with Bas alongside Reuben Vincent and Hoosh at more than 20 venues in the US, starting in Dallas, Texas, on March 3. “I’m so happy to take my music to international stages this year, with this being the first. Thank you to Bas and the Dreamville family for bringing me out. This will be my first time touring the States. I can’t wait to see and meet fans on the road,” he said.
4. Megan Thee Stallion drops new ‘Hot Girl Systems’ collection with Nike
Megan Thee Stallion is in boss mode with a brand new collab. Recently, the Hot Girl Coach dropped her latest collection with Nike, which is just for the Hotties. The “Hot Girl Systems” collection is inspired by the H-Town rapper and helps illuminate everyone’s inner Hottie. “For the hot girls doing hot things. @theestallion’s first collection with Nike, Hot Girl Systems, is here,” said the joint announcement shared by Nike and the “Hiss” rapper on Instagram.
This line is a fresh collab between the athletic brand juggernaut and Meg’s individuality as a fashion-forward trendsetter and a chart-topping lyricist. The body-inclusive line features pieces that range from XS to 3X, including the Nike Pro short, sports bras, a bodysuit, and cropped tees, among other items, to look great while working out or rocking day and night. In addition, wearers can “customize and finalize” their look with footwear from the Nike By You Air Max 97.

Manchester United have been dealt a huge blow, with Luke Shaw suffering another injury setback, leaving England sweating ahead of Euro 2024. Shaw started in United’s 2-1 victory over Luton Town on Sunday but couldn’t make it to halftime before being forced off through injury. According to reports, the full-back suffered a recurrence of a leg problem that has already seen him miss three months of action this term. He is now a doubt for the remainder of the club season, naturally throwing his contention for England’s Euro 2024 squad into doubt as well.
Shaw’s return from that three-month lay-off only came on February 11 against Aston Villa, when the full-back was brought on as a half-time substitute in an eventual 2-1 win. Erik ten Hag’s decision to start the England international just a week later will now be scrutinized, as his absence will be sorely felt at the back. Reports note that Shaw will likely miss all 13 of United’s remaining Premier League games as well as the remainder of their FA Cup campaign. This will be a hammer blow in their bid for a top-four spot, especially considering Lisandro Martinez’s long-term absence.
