he Hollywood streets never sleep, and more so during event season. Consequently, the red carpet is ever ready to host the stars clad in impressive attires that radiate in the spotlight. Last week, the Cannes Film Festival kicked off and is set to run till May 28th. Off the MET gala high, the stars have rekindled their high fashion affair on the Cannes red carpet and among them, some of the most stylish Black celebs have been spotted with complementary flair and poise to match.
The looks
The amiable Lori Harvey brought a heavy dose of sunshine to the red carpet, and needless to say our TLs, in a yellow Alexandre Vauthier couture dress for the opening ceremony of the Cannes Film Festival. The star further donned a beguiling Messika High Jewelry Shards Of Mirror neckpiece and a minimal face beat and updo, allowing the number its moment of fame.
Top model Cindy Bruna was all ten across boards as she stunned in a pink tulle Giambattista Valli Haute Couture 22 number and accessorized with a statement Chaumet necklace on the “Armageddon Time” red carpet at Cannes.
In Nigeria, award-winning Nollywood star Nancy Isime attended an award ceremony organized by the Ooni of Ife in a golden boubou by Nigerian designer, Xtra bride Lagos. The star, who was awarded alongside other youths for their impact on society, carried the dress in a regal manner. The feather details which made up for the rest of the neckline as well as neatly placed embellishments, and overall lush fabric made this dress a solid win.
