Luxury fashion house Louis Vuitton has announced that Pharrell Williams, a recording artist, producer, songwriter, philanthropist, fashion designer, and entrepreneur, will be joining the brand as its new men’s creative director, effective immediately. He will unveil his first collection for Louis Vuitton this June during Men’s Fashion Week in Paris.
“I am glad to welcome Pharrell back home, after our collaborations in 2004 and 2008 for Louis Vuitton, as our new men’s creative director. His creative vision beyond fashion will undoubtedly lead Louis Vuitton towards a new and very exciting chapter,” said Pietro Beccari, Louis Vuitton’s chairman and CEO.
Williams, a celebrated artist, producer and designer, has 10 billion combined global music streams to date. He has founded non-profits like YELLOW to even the odds for all youth through education, helping them realise their potential and Black Ambition that provides a bridge to success for Black and Latinx entrepreneurs who are launching tech, healthcare, Web 3.0, and consumer products/services start-ups.
Williams excels as a fashion designer and entrepreneur with his Billionaire Boys Club and Ice Cream apparel among other brands.
