1. Ciara reveals that she is pregnant with her fourth child
On Tuesday, August 8, Ciara took to social media to reveal that she is pregnant with her fourth child, and third with husband Russell Wilson. In a short black-and-white clip, a visibly expectant Ciara dances around a swimming pool as her latest single, the Chris Brown-assisted “How We Roll,” plays in the background. She even shared one of the song’s lyrics in the video’s description, a direct message to the aforementioned father-to-be. “You look at me like that again, we make another kid… You my heart, I’m your rib,” the line reads.
The singer had her first son, Future Zahir, in 2014 while in a relationship with rapper Future. After their subsequent breakup, she began dating Wilson in early 2015. The two married at England’s Peckforton Castle a year later. Sienna Princess and Win Harrison came into the world in 2017 and 2020, respectively.

On Tuesday, August 8, Tory Lanez was handed a sentence of 10 years in prison for the shooting of Megan Thee Stallion back in July 2020. In December 2022, the Canadian artist was found guilty of assault with a semiautomatic handgun, having a loaded and unregistered firearm in a vehicle, and gross negligence in discharging his firearm, all of which were felony charges. He was denied a new trial this past May.
While she didn’t appear at the sentencing, a statement from Megan Thee Stallion was said to have been read by Los Angeles County Deputy District Attorney Kathy Ta. “Since I was viciously shot by the defendant, I have not experienced a single day of peace,” it reportedly said. “Slowly but surely, I’m healing and coming back, but I will never be the same.”
5. PSG turn the heat up on Kylian Mbappe as poster of star striker is removed from Parc des Princes & club shops in Paris stop selling shirts with his name on

PSG appear to have pulled down posters of Kylian Mbappe at Parc des Princes, and club shops in Paris are no longer selling his jersey. The France international has been tipped to leave the Ligue 1 champions this summer after refusing to sign a new contract, with his current deal set to expire in 2024. Rather than seeing him leave for free, the Paris Saint-Germain board is trying to recoup a fee for him while preventing him from training with the first team, and he was also omitted from the French side’s pre-season tour squad.
The 24-year-old, who is currently being forced to train with the “bomb squad” made up of PSG undesirables, is in a standoff with the club. It is believed the World Cup winner has agreed a deal with Real Madrid starting in 2024, but the Paris outfit wants to get a sizeable fee for a player they value at €250 million (£215m/$274m). It remains to be seen if Mbappe, who previously branded PSG as a “divisive” club, will play for them this season, with the campaign set to begin this weekend.
