hat’s fashion if there’s no window left open to slip in some drama? The week kicked off with Paris Fashion Week smoking out Hollywood elites to attend their favorite designers’ shows. Then, the star-studded “You People” movie premiere proved that fashion is what you make of it. A slew of Black celebrities took their personal style for a spin and the result was downright impressive. By the weekend, stars flew to Dubai to watch Beyoncé perform at the Atlantis The Royal grand reveal. Bey was outside and your faves dressed up in luxurious coordinations to witness greatness.
The Looks
When you hear it’s a Beyoncé concert, your senses become heightened in anticipation of what’s to come. Last week, the Queen herself rocked the red carpet at the Atlantis The Royal Grand reveal in an outlandish Dolce and Gabbana ensemble. The golden look featured a grand cape that graciously grazed the floor. It’s safe to say it was indeed a Beyoncé weekend for Hollywood.
Meanwhile, Yara Shahidi strutted around New York like it was leg day in a flowery mini-dress from Brandon Maxwell. The star was all smiles in the mini number that features black and gold sequin floral embroidery details and a sleeveless white upper part. The embellished details of the frock gave a stupendous edge to the number. The girl is certainly in her “secure the bag” era, and we’re here for all the juice.
Elsewhere in Africa, Tiwa Savage attended the AFRIMA music award in Dakar, Senegal elegantly clad in a red and black Maximilian Raynor number. The exaggerated train gave a mermaid core energy, and her pixie cut gathered the entire assemblage.
