Nigerian music sensation Ayra Starr has reacted after the Headies Awards failed to award the Best Female Artist on stage. The 2023 Headies Award took place on September 3, at the Cobb Energy Centre in Atlanta Georgia, USA and it had in attendance stakeholders in the African music industry who gathered to celebrate Nigerian music. Ayra Starr who beat Tems, Tiwa Savage, and Simi to the Best Female award has taken to her Twitter (X) account to share her sentiments after the award wasn’t presented on stage.
Ayra Starr stated that she wouldn’t be grateful for winning an award that wasn’t deemed fit to be presented on stage after the Headies failed to present the prize at the event held in attendance. “I will never be grateful for winning a category that wasn’t even deemed fit to be announced on stage! Music and entertainment mogul, Sean “Diddy” Combs is continuing to not only talk the talk but walk the walk. In a historic move that will likely ignite astronomical change in the music industry, the founder of Bad Boy Records has decided to reassign the label’s publishing rights to the artistes and songwriters who helped make the company the powerhouse it is today. As many know, record companies usually keep the publishing rights of songs made by artistes signed to them. However, even though this has been common practice, it’s been criticized over the years because of the imbalance it can potentially create as the record labels reap the huge financial benefits from artistes’ hard work.
Combs is taking things a major step forward. Companies have reached out to the founder, offering him millions of dollars, to purchase Bad Boy Records’ publishing. However, instead of accepting these proposals, he’s decided to reassign them to their respective artistes. Bad Boy stars such as Faith Evans, Ma$e, The LOX, 112, and more are among the artistes and writers who now own their publishing from the label. Combs hopes that his unprecedented move will inspire the music industry to follow suit as he continues to be disruptive and change the status quo.

AKA’s father Tony Forbes, mother Lynn Forbes, and business partner Raphael Benza also jumped on stage in support of Kairo when she sang her father’s song, which left the crowd in tears and cheering for her.
4. Rita Dominic denies reports that she gave birth to twins
I should not have to though. People should just stop lying to the public. https://t.co/WCluNaX8vT
— Rita Dominic (@ritaUdominic) September 3, 2023
Veteran Nollywood actress Rita Dominic has cleared the air regarding the rumors that she and her husband welcomed a set of twins. She took to her verified Twitter account calling out blogs for spreading fake news, yet again. Noting that the fake narrative is recycled every year, she angrily urged people to resist lying to the public. She also encouraged her followers and fans to always verify news that they come across in order not to fall victim to fake news.
This comes in response to the news that circulated on social media on Sunday, September 3, claiming that the actress and her husband Fidelis Anosike welcomed a set of twins. However, she has blatantly called the reports out as fake news and the post was since deleted.

After leaving Sevilla for Real Madrid 18 years ago, former Spain defender Sergio Ramos has returned to the Europa League champions. The veteran defender, 37, left Paris Saint-Germain after his contract with the club expired in the summer and he was a free agent before rejoining Sevilla. He lived in France for two years, making 58 matches, and twice won Ligue 1. Ramos, who was born and bred in Seville, made his senior squad debut in 2004 at the age of 19, and the following year he joined Real Madrid. The return of Sevilla’s wantaway son after 16 trophy-filled years at the Bernabeu has now been officially announced.
“Hello Sevillistas, today is a very special day for me, very emotional. I’m finally coming home and I’m looking forward to the moment when I can feel the Sevilla shirt and the crest on my chest again,” Ramos said in his unveiling video with Sevilla. Ramos consciously declined an extravagant offer to relocate to Saudi Arabia, despite Karim Benzema, a former colleague at Real Madrid, urging him to go with Al-Ittihad. He was a free agent, thus the transfer deadline on Friday did not apply to him. As per Fabrizio Romano, Ramos will earn around €1 million net at Sevilla, almost 15 times less than he’d have earned in Saudi Arabia.
