IDEX Biometrics, a leading provider of fingerprint identification technologies, has announced the appointment of John T. Kurtzweil as Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately. Mr. Kurtzweil is an accomplished financial executive with a strong track record. Prior to joining IDEX Biometrics, he served as CFO at Metabolon, a prominent U.S. life science company, where he played a crucial role in the company’s revitalization. Before his tenure at Metabolon, Mr. Kurtzweil held the position of CFO at leading technology companies, including CREE, Cirrus Logic, and ON Semiconductor. In these roles, he was responsible for finance operations, strategic planning, and mergers and acquisitions, all of which contributed to the growth of shareholder value.
Mr. Kurtzweil takes over from Eileen Wynne, who has been serving as Interim CFO at IDEX Biometrics since August 2022. Ms. Wynne will continue to support the company as a consultant during the transition period.
