The CEO position at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport is set to be filled by Pieter van Oord for a four-year term starting June 1, 2024, as announced by the airport authorities. During the transition period, CFO Robert Carsouw will serve as the interim CEO from March 1 until June 1.
Van Oord, who brings extensive experience from his tenure as the head of international maritime contractor Royal Van Oord, starting in 2008, is slated to succeed Ruud Sondag. Sondag has held the interim CEO role since November 1, 2022, and will continue in the position until March 1, 2024, according to Schiphol’s statement.
