VF Corporation, one of the world’s largest active-lifestyle companies, founded in 1899, has announced the appointment of Paul Vogel as its new Chief Financial Officer, effective July 8, 2024.
Vogel, an experienced finance executive with extensive operational, financial planning, and capital markets expertise, will bring a wealth of knowledge to VF, having previously served as CFO of Spotify Technology S.A. During his tenure at Spotify, Vogel significantly enhanced the company’s financial health, nearly doubling its revenue and more than doubling its user base while also achieving expanded operating margins and free cash flow.
Before his role as CFO at Spotify from January 2020 to December 2023, Vogel was the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis, Treasury, and Investor Relations at Spotify from 2016 to 2020. Prior to Spotify, Vogel spent 20 years in the investment community, including as Managing Director and Head of the Internet and Media Equity Research team at Barclays and Global Sector Head for Consumer, Media, and Internet Investing at AllianceBernstein.
VF President and CEO Bracken Darrell expressed excitement about Vogel joining the leadership team, emphasizing his extensive experience at a global, consumer-oriented company. Darrell highlighted Vogel’s deep knowledge of finance and capital markets as invaluable assets for strengthening VF’s financial positioning and driving the company’s return to profitable growth.
Vogel remarked on the honor of joining VF at a pivotal time in its history. He noted that VF has all the right ingredients for growth, including a portfolio of globally renowned brands, a talented team, and an innovative, purpose-driven culture. Vogel looks forward to collaborating with the team to enhance growth and create value for shareholders.
Darrell also thanked Matt Puckett for his over 23 years of contributions to VF, acknowledging his leadership and dedication. Darrell wished Puckett the best in his future endeavors.
