Mike Koumartzakis, CEO of www.figamegroup.com, www.corporatefigame.com, in an interview with CEOWORLD magazine explaines that his company provides corporate travel services to more than 200 corporations all over Europe, while in Greece it belongs to the top 5 Greek corporate travel management organizations. The company’s vision is to further expand in the international travel market by signing more contracts with non-Greek clients.
Q: Can you briefly present figame.com and your vision of it?
Mike Koumartzakis: Figame.com is an exclusively corporate travel management company. We are providing corporate travel services to more than 200 corporations all over Europe and we compete in the international travel market. In Greece we have the major part of Greek organisation and we are in top 5 of Greek corporate travel management organisations.
The company was founded in 2009. Its orientation was always towards technology and advanced methods for providing exceptional professional travel services. In 2020 it launched in the market www.corporatefigame.com that is a corporate travel management tool with all the major travel services integrated in one place.
Q: What’s your biggest professional challenge as the CEO of figame.com?
Mike Koumartzakis: The biggest professional challenge of Figame.com is the expansion in the international travel market by signing more contracts with new non Greek clients. We already have a good number of such clients but our focus is to maximise that. We have very strong competition outside Greece and our effort to have a critical mass in the European market is massive. Figame.com devotes efforts and resources towards that direction and the results are already evident.
Q: What are the characteristics of the corporate travel industry post-COVID, in your experience?
Mike Koumartzakis: It seems that after COVID the demand for corporate trips has increased. Although major researches all over the world were speaking about a destruction of the corporate travel market it is evident that it is in very high levels. Figame.com capitalises on this up turn on the market. We become stronger, bigger and faster by having open communication with our clients and market in general. Our clients push us to become better every day.
