Ahmad Fazril Mohd Fauzi has officially resigned from his role as Chief Financial Officer of Boustead Heavy Industries Corporation Bhd (BHIC). The announcement was made through a Bursa Malaysia Securities filing, where it was revealed that the 41-year-old is leaving to pursue other opportunities. However, details regarding his future endeavors were not disclosed.
Ahmad Fazril’s tenure as CFO began on August 1, 2021, marking a three-year period in which he played a pivotal role in the financial leadership of the company. During his time at BHIC, he was known for his strategic financial management and efforts in steering the company through various economic challenges.
Before assuming the CFO position at BHIC, Ahmad Fazril had an extensive career at Boustead Holdings Bhd. From 2018 to 2021, he served as the head of group internal audit, risk management, and integrity & governance. In these roles, he was instrumental in enhancing the company’s internal controls, risk assessment processes, and governance structures. His contributions significantly strengthened Boustead Holdings’ compliance and operational standards.
The departure of Ahmad Fazril marks a significant change in BHIC’s executive team. As the company seeks a successor, his resignation opens a chapter of transition and potential new directions for BHIC’s financial strategy and management. The company’s leadership will now be tasked with finding a capable successor who can continue the trajectory of robust financial oversight and strategic growth.
