What’s the story behind the story? What inspired you to write Mr. Casually Cruel (The Billionaires of New York Book 4)?
I generally write books that I would like to read myself. In this case, I was interested in a male protagonist who is not only aggressive in the business world but also has a very physical side, which he lives out in martial arts. And so, Nate was born.
If you had to pick theme songs for the main characters of Mr. Casually Cruel (The Billionaires of New York Book 4), what would they be?
Ava: Livingston – Last Man Standing. Nate: K.Flay – Can’t Sleep.
What’s your favorite genre to read? Is it the same as your favorite genre to write?
I love reading and writing about aloof, dominant men who find their happily ever after at the end of the book and get a lot of steamy scenes in between.
What books are on your TBR pile right now?
Carnage, His Demands and The Secret Fiancée.
What scene in your book was your favorite to write?
In my favorite scene, Ava gets boxing lessons from Nate but then things escalate quickly.
Do you have any quirky writing habits? (lucky mugs, cats on laps, etc.)
I create a separate playlist for each chapter I write. Also, I can only write on my beat-up 15-dollar keyboard, on which not a single letter is visible. But even if you could still see the letters, Shadow-Noodle, one of my cats, would cover them up because she’s always half-lying on my hands when I write.
Do you have a motto, quote, or philosophy you live by?
Every day I try to be a little better than yesterday.
If you could choose one thing for readers to remember after reading your book, what would it be?
I’d love for them to remember that tummy tingle they felt when Ava and Nate kissed for the first time. That very special tingle in your stomach that you only feel when everything is right, even when there’s chaos all around you.
