If you’ve ever thought there should be a Comic-Con type event for book lovers, your wishes have been granted–and for long-time book lovers, your wishes for a return to one of the biggest in-person events for book lovers is back.
That’s right. BookCon is back in New York City next April 18 and 19 at the Javitz Center.
BookCon, hosted by ReedPop, was first held in 2014 and ran through 2019. It ran the week of the former Book Expo America, and offered an opportunity for book fans outside of the industry to celebrate all things books and reading. The event, which had plans for a 2020 show, was canceled with COVID-19 and later that year, organizers announced they were canceling future events. The plan was to rework the event, and now that reworked event is here.
BookCon combines pop culture and books under one roof. This year’s event promises two days of exciting author panels, an exhibit halls with an array of bookish vendors, workshops, book signings, and more.
More information about the event is forthcoming. You can sign up for the BookCon newsletter to be one of the first to know what’s being planned for this one-of-a-kind book lovers party.
