KMD Brands has announced interim arrangements following the planned departure of Group CFO Chris Kinraid on December 8, 2023. KMD Brands oversees Kathmandu, Rip Curl, and Oboz Footwear.
Ben Washington, Deputy CFO, will temporarily cover the financial and investor aspects of the group CFO role. Meanwhile, Lachlan Farran, Chief Commercial Officer, will assume the remaining operational responsibilities on an interim basis. Both interim appointments will be effective from December 8 until a permanent group CFO is appointed.
Kinraid’s departure was disclosed by KMD Brands on July 7. On LinkedIn, he revealed accepting the CEO position at New Zealand’s Hallenstein Glassons Holdings.
Having been with KMD Brands for nine years and serving as CFO since mid-2019, Kinraid expressed his appreciation. He acknowledged the collaborative efforts that transformed the business into a global brand portfolio and emphasized leaving the Group in a robust position for future growth opportunities. He also expressed eagerness to contribute before moving to the new role.
In his LinkedIn post, Kinraid extended gratitude to CEO and Managing Director Michael Daly, Chairman David Kirk, and colleagues Reuben Casey, Xavier Simonet, Mark Todd, John Harvey, Ben Washington, and Brad Seaman for their collaboration during his tenure.
