Summers in Berlin are known for their sweltering heat. And one of the best ways to combat the harsh effects of the sun is to find a spot by the waterside. Thus, next time you are in the city, remember to visit these swimming pools, which are considered the best in all aspects.

1. Stadtbad Charlottenburg (Alte Halle)Constructed in 1898, this is the oldest functioning indoor pool in Charlottenburg. A trip to this spot will make you travel back in time. While the brick and steel construction looks pristine under the light, the century-old painting further elevates the beauty of the place.
   The 25-meter pool has no lane division and consists of a non-swimmer area which makes it best for kids and the general public. Swimmers can, however, take advantage of the pool next door, which has 50-meter lanes, a water slide, and a diving board.
2. Stadtbad NeukollnThe Stadtbad Neukolln is known to be the most beautiful pool in Berlin due to its stunning interiors. Built in 1912 during the Wilhelmine period, the design of the place is heavily inspired by old Roman baths and can accommodate 10,000 visitors.
   There are, in total, two separate pools here set along colonnades and mosaics, along with a non-swimmer section. Although the 25-meter pool is not fit for athletes, it is more suitable for aesthetes who wish to gaze at the ornamental backdrop.
3. Stadtbad Schoneberg: Hans RosenthalWhat makes this particular pool stand out is the 53-meter-long slide present within the premises. The site also houses toddler and non-swimmer baths, a lido, a jet stream channel, and saltwater pools, making it a great place for enjoyment.
   Sports enthusiasts can take advantage of the 25-meter pool with one and three-meter high diving boards, which is a perfect spot for swimming sessions.
4. Schwimm- und Sprunghalle im EuropasportparkThis swimming hall was initially constructed for the 2000 Olympics. Still, today is a recurring spot for several international and national competitions. However, when there is no competition, the hall is open for the general public to enjoy.
   The place consists of a 50-meter pool (with four separate lanes), a piss-warm baby pool, and a non-swimmer lane with a slide for recreation purposes.
5. Stadtbad Mitte: James Simon 

   Statbad Mitte is an architectural highlight from Berlin’s Weimer days. The hall has a spacious 50-meter swimming pool with six lanes, two of which are reserved for athletes.
   Moreover, there are two sports rooms, gymnastic rooms, and a provision for aqua fitness classes, making it a favorite among fitness freaks. Visitors can also rejuvenate themselves by booking exclusive massage sessions in advance.

6. Tranxx: Entspannung purTranxx is one of the largest floating pools in Berlin that uniquely relaxes your senses. This modern indoor bath is equipped with classic and electronic underwater sounds that help you unwind effortlessly.
   In addition, the place has a relaxation lounge that serves tea and snacks to visitors. You can also pamper your body by booking a sophisticated massage by qualified masseurs during your visit here.
7. Kombibad SeestrasseOne of the most attractive features of the place is the heated swimming tent spanning over the 50-meter pool, which makes it accessible in colder months. The site also houses a non-swimmers pool with a slide for kids to enjoy and have fun.
   Apart from this, Kombidad Seestrasse is known for hosting events such as the swimming disco to keep families and children engaged. When you are hungry, you can step into the on-site restaurant “Seepferdchen” to grab a favorite snack.
8. Stadtbad LankwitzAlthough this place is remote, you will find more options for family fun. There is a 60-meter-long water slide and diving tower next to the sports pool, which serves as the main attraction for children.
   Little kiddos can take a warm bath in the 32° heated pools, and wellness enthusiasts will love the sauna complex, which has options for dry, aroma, bio, and steam saunas. And after you are done swimming, do visit the juice bar or cafeteria to enjoy some refreshments.
