T
he week went by so fast, but not without a burst of high-end, sleek looks on celebrities that resonated with the festivities. Thanks to Beyoncé’s Renaissance movie premiere in London, the stars once again made it a mission to shine in metallics. Then came the Academy Museum Gala that saw the weekend spiral out of sartorial control with A-listers donning head-turning ensembles, readily stepping on necks. It’s safe to say it’s officially the holiday season, and the stars are undoubtedly outside.
The Looks
Beyoncé was a sparkling sensation in a Balmain high jewelry-inspired look at the Renaissance film party in London. The brooch-inspired number flaunted a “sapphire stone” in its center, which could easily be seen as a nod to her birth month. (Sapphire is the birthstone for September). Bey styled the fully embellished dress with black arm-length gloves and matching pumps. If the mission is to shine, few things shine brighter than a sapphire high jewelry piece surrounded by diamonds. T
At the Red Sea Film Festival, Naomi Campbell was mesmerizing in a Rizman Ruzaini embellished red-and-black ombré number. Featuring a studded sleeveless dress that glistered with every move and an exaggerated red cape with puffy sleeves that evoked a pompous vibe, the creation delivered sass without missing. Ms. Campbell paired the look with black pumps and diamond high jewelry that injected more shine into the fit.
The Color Purple press tour has seen the stars of the film serve serial slay in ways no one saw coming. At the Academy Museum Gala held over the weekend, the latest star to impress us with her style was none other than Oprah Winfrey. For the event, the media mogul stunned in a Dolce & Gabbana purple sequin number that played up her frame. She completed the look with matching Manolo Blahnik pumps and diamond jewelry that upped the wow factor. Even at 70 (she’ll clock 70 in January), Ms. Winfrey still got it!
