Rona Inc, the leading home-improvement retailer, and distributor in Canada, has appointed Andrew Iacobucci as its new CEO. This decision comes shortly after the company announces job cuts affecting 500 employees nationwide.
Iacobucci will be based at Rona’s headquarters in Boucherville and will work closely with the board of directors. Garry Senecal, who served as the Interim CEO, has graciously agreed to stay on until the end of the year to ensure a smooth transition period.
“I am honoured to join RONA, a strong company and brand that have been serving Canadians for close to 85 years,” said Andrew Iacobucci. “I look forward to working with the teams to bring the company’s vision to life and help set the foundation for success well into the future.”
RONA inc. is one of Canada’s leading home improvement retailers and is headquartered in Boucherville, Québec. Rona has 425 corporate or affiliated stores across the country, which are operated under the Rona, Réno-Dépôt, Lowe’s and Dick’s Lumber banners.
