Chris Brown overtakes The Weeknd as the artist with the most charted songs on Billboard’s nearly 10-year-old Hot R&B Songs chart. The feat comes after Brown sends nine new entries onto the chart dated July 9 to improve his career total to 79. The Weeknd, now in second place, owns 71 entries on the list, which began with the Oct. 20, 2012-dated chart.
All nine of Brown’s debuts are from his album, Breezy, which starts at No. 2 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and at No. 4 on the all-genre Billboard 200. The set earned 72,000 equivalent album units in the week ending June 30, according to Luminate.
